Cupping Massage is a traditional Chinese
approach to health and has been documented for thousands
of years. During the session, glass cups are placed on
the skin, and the therapist creates a vacuum effect that
produces a suction pulling the underlying connective
tissue and promoting numerous positive effects. Cupping
seeks to balance that energy and correct any problems or
points of restriction. Moreover, cupping effectively
loosens adhesions, commonly known as knots and increases
blood flow to the areas underneath the cups. This helps
to invigorate the surrounding tissues draining waste and
debris away from the area. Finally, cupping therapy
sessions can help relieve stress and tension allowing the
receiver to obtain a feeling of physical and
psychological balance.

Facial
Rejuvenating Massage®. After years of
natural health practices, the owners of Carrico Therapy
Center formulated this therapeutic massage that focuses
primarily on facial muscles. When such muscles become
overly tensed either due to postural changes of response
to stress, the associated skin area may also contract
giving the appearance of lines or wrinkles. Also, tensed
areas could be prone to a decrease of nutrients such as
oxygen, protein, and etc. Therefore, the therapist will
focus on the relaxation of specific tensed facial
muscles, localized acupressure, and the application of
herbal massage oils and creams specially chosen to
enhance the elasticity and tonicity of facial muscles.
